The 2023 Gunsalus Vineyard Pinot Noir is a beautifully complex wine, crafted from one of the best microclimates in Sonoma County. A cooler-than-usual growing season, marked by a wet winter and extended spring, allowed for slow, even ripening, resulting in a wine of exceptional balance and depth.

This wine showcases a stunning medium ruby red color with a delicate pink rim. The nose is bold and expressive, revealing ripe aromas of cherry, plum, and blueberry, layered with earthy notes of dark earth, cola, almond extract, and a hint of espresso. On the palate, it is medium-full-bodied, with rich flavors of mixed berries and cherry liqueur, complemented by savory hints of mushroom, black licorice, and roasted nuts. The finish is long and lingering, tying together the wine’s depth and complexity for a memorable tasting experience.

Sourced from the meticulously farmed Gunsalus Vineyard, this Pinot Noir is aged for 11 months in French oak (26% new), capturing the essence of Green Valley’s cool, fog-laden climate and Goldridge and Sebastopol loam soils.
