Wine-Specific Conditions
Legal Requirements
You must be 21 years of age or older, to order or receive alcoholic beverages from Tolosa. By Federal law, receipt of shipments containing alcoholic beverages requires the signature of a sober adult (a person 21 years of age or older who is not intoxicated). We encourage using a business address for shipments if possible. We also cannot ship to P.O. boxes because deliveries require a signature. Wines purchased from Tolosa are not for resale, and are for personal consumption only.
Credit Card Charges
Orders are by credit card only. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
States Authorized for Direct Shipment
Due to the ever-changing nature of wine shipping laws, we may be able to ship wines, directly or indirectly, to all states except AR, MI, RI and UT. Please note that all wineries hold different licensing and permits for direct shipping out of state. There are select states where Tolosa can only ship three-tier, where we do not hold a direct shipping license (DE, NJ and OH). For these states, please understand that your shipment may take up to 2 weeks for delivery. This is due to state regulations, which causes the winery to use a third party for fulfillment.
Tolosa uses Safe Haven Wine Services out of Paso Robles, California for three-tier state fulfillment. If you are shipping to one of the states listed above, please note that Tolosa will run a charge for the wine and tax only. You will have separate charge on your credit card from Safe Haven Wine Services for shipping and handling.
Shipping Days
Tolosa will ship wine Monday-Thursday, for most orders.
Orders being shipped to Safe Haven States (DE, MI, RI and OH) are shipped out only on Monday and Tuesday. If you need to have your order shipped out after Tuesday, please contact shipping@tolosawinery.com or call (805) 782-0500 to request a specific ship date.
Delivery prior to Christmas Eve Dec. 24th, orders must be placed two week prior for ground delivery. Some restrictions may apply included expedited shipping methods. Tolosa is not responsible for any delayed deliveries during the holiday season, extreme weather including high temperatures, winter storms or in the event of a natural disaster.

Wine is a Delicate Commodity
Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. Tolosa is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. When your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser. However, Tolosa has taken new measures to get your wine to you undamaged. For all states other than AZ, CA & NV, there may be a weather hold that will delay your shipment, or you can upgrade to Overnight or 2-Day shipping with ice for an additional fee. Return Policy
Tolosa stands behind our products and takes pride in meeting our customers' needs. Returns/Credits can only be made if the wine or merchandise is returned to our warehouse in the same condition as when it left and is of current vintage. We will not refund shipping cost. For cash returns, a receipt must be provided showing that the purchase was made in cash.
